| Match report | An exciting and intense game of football against a much improved Haxby side. The Vikings dominated the first half of the game with lots of possession. It took a fantastic team move to take an early lead into half time. 4 players involved which started with Barnaby passing to Cameron who then crossed to Tilly whose shot was saved only to be pounced on by Reuben. 1-0 at the break. A Haxby side full of fire came out in the second half and after a throw in broke our defensive line, Haxby levelled with a thunderous shot passed Reuben. 1-1. Undeterred the Vikings piled on the pressure looking for a winner, Adi going close at the near post. When all was looking like a draw an identical attacking move from the Vikings saw Adi managing to score from a real difficult angle. 2-1 and a well earned team win for the Vikings. Player of the Match was Eddie with a solid defensive performance and some great forward passing |
