Match report   A Blustery Day!!! By Beth
Team: Georgie-goalie, Em-striker, Amy- striker, Abbey- Mid field, Beth W- Left wing back, Sophie M-Right wing back, Charlie- sweeper. Subs- Dani & Sophie G.
Fulford take kick-off, and although we were kicking into a gale force wind we immediately got the ball up the pitch and quick as a flash Amy had the first shot on goal, which was unfortunately saved by the keeper. A corner is taken by Heworth which with the defence working hard was easily cleared by Abbey. With the foxes having many shots on goal, the Heworth keeper was on great form making several great saves, unfortunately Heworth then scored a good goal on the break and celebrated with psycho screams!!!
Em and Amy take kick-off and manage to get it up pitch and win a corner. Sophie m connects with the ball but unfortunately her shot goes just wide. Just before half time Dani replaces Beth W. Half-time is ended with another great shot on goal ,only to be saved by the keeper.
In the second half with Sophie G now on for Sophie M, Emily gets a shot in within the first minute although disappointingly it is saved by the keeper. After Dani retrieves the ball and sends it up pitch Amy gets a good shot in which is again saved by the keeper. The keeper takes a good goal kick and gets it right down the pitch, only to be booted back up by Charlie ,doing brilliantly in defence. A cross is made by Sophie only to be kicked just wide of the goal by Em, but she gets straight back in after the goal kick ,with the blustering wind on her side now she boots the ball into the back of the net scoring a cracking goal!!!!1-1!!!! Another great goal kick follows a great clearance by Charlie. Cool as a cucumber she back heels it back up the field. Beth and Sophie M come on for Abbey and Charlie.
Em takes another great corner.... and again.......and again.......and again, 4th time lucky, wind whistling.......the corner is whipped in by Em and turned in left footed by Amy into the roof of the net!!!!!!Making it 2-1 to the foxes!!!!! Great cross/shot across the goal by Em, past the post by a whisker. Another great corner flashes across the goal but there is no fox on hand to tap it in- yet more gasps from the windswept Foxes away support! At last the ref blows the whistle on a hard fought but well deserved foxes win. 3 league games-3 victories!!!!!
