Match report	The Lions team acquitted themselves very well today against a Rawcliffe team which has had much more time together and match experience. Archie was Captain for the day having showed determination, commitment and an ability to listen to instructions during training last Thursday. My Player of the Week is Joshua who was always working hard and helped his teammates out with some crucial blocks and tackles. Ryan and Mohammed worked hard up front including some good passing between the two of them. The teams’ efforts were rewarded with a great goal from Ryan in the first half. The quality of our tackling and battling meant that Andrew had little to do in goal. In the second half Rawcliffe woke up and put us under more pressure and found the net twice despite some valiant defending, especially from Joshua who produced several goal saving challenges and interceptions. It was good to see the children putting training ground work into practice on match day. We’ll continue to work on fundamental team skills such as positioning and passing in the coming weeks.
