Match report	The scoreline was particularly harsh on the Falcons girls, who deserved at least a draw out of this first game of the season. Going into the game the girls performed their legendary Falcons chant and it was then all full focus and concentration on the game. Some resolute defending by Kelly & Daisy meant that a strong RI team had no chances in the first 20 minutes. Half time: And a 0.0 scoreline. After R.I took the lead early in the second half, the Falcons management were forced into making substitutions. And what an immediate impact Lizzie made. The ball was played upto Lizzie on the half way line. With her back to goal, she turned the defender inside out and ran 30 yards before rifling in a wonder shot that beat the goalie at her near post. Alas, the joy was shortlived and RI scored the decider with 5 minutes to go. R.I were certainly a strong team and we matched them in every department, with notable contributions from Abi, Holly & Jemma. The girls should be very proud of themselves and be excited about their chances in the forthcoming season.
