Match report   An arranged friendly game against North Duffeild. The lads really enjoyed it today despite the team been ravagede by injuries, illness and players not availalble we only had 10 men. Duffield kindly lent us a player Stevie who was very good.

We lost the game 5-0 its never nice to lose but playing a team like these enables us to learn as a team without losing any points, so today had a lot of value to us.

Everyone played well we were missing some vital players and it was an oppertunity to play people in different positions Dan played at left and right back positions and made some very important interventions.

Scott had a turn in goal to give Ben a run out they scored against him and he got upset with himself, he showed how much the team meant to him today when he thought he let them down. But he didnt let anyone down they just scored against us, he made a blinder of a save but the loose ball was picked up by them and they bagged a goal, but thats the way it goes well done Scott you showed true commitment today.

Frankie was outstanding in defence and is really starting to shine he is so solid and crunches into tackles.

Guy as usual lead the defensive line North Duffield did a lot of attacking as you would expect them to do. a first division team at home playing against a 10 man squad with an on loan player, but guy and defence did not look out of thier depth and kept them at bay on many occasions.

Scott had a turn at left back and played very well then a spell in goal and the last 10 mins up front.

James played up front and just missed a goal then played at right back for the second half and what a performance. speed, tenancity and some trickery sorry James you might play there again some time.

Ben as usual had a great time he is confident and unphased and he directs the team from the back, North Duffield love Ben because he plays so well against them.

Midfield David as always is a vital player to us and today he was involved in everything we did when we are under the cosh from teams he defends and attacks, he had to play deep today.

Aaron played on the right wing and ran and ran, he works very hard at his game and keeps going to the last he supports guy with making sure the lads hold position and pick up men.

James and Oli played up front in the first half they were not getting a lot of service as we were pressed back but they did thier best and kept going. Ben had a spell up fornt with Oli second half and Scott replaced Ben there too.

Everyone played well today and it shows true courage to keep going when you are 5-0 down and that what they did.

Everyone deserves a mention for today and there were lots of contenders fo Man of the match but today it has to go to Oli Carroll. He held the ball up battled hard was full of trickery and made things happen he likes to run at players and his game has really come in to a different levle this season. Well done Oli.
