| Match report | A disappointing result from what at one point looked like a promising position after an excellent start to this game. A fairly even first 10 minutes before Fulford broke down the right with Jonny Ward firing in a low cross met by James Wood who swept a shot across the keeper to put Fulford 1:0 up. A long ball over the top caught the Fulford defence out and the Pock striker levelled at 1:1. What seemed a definate push in the box maybe should have resulted in a penalty to Fulford but was not seen as a foul by the referee. Paddy Wintie was felled just inside the box five minutes later and it was Paddy who picked himself up to smash home the spot kick into the bottom left hand corner to make it 2:1. Then came Ben Bloxhams brilliant run down the left into the box and was clearly brought down by the Pock defender but again the referee waved away the appeals for a penalty. Pock equalised five minutes before the break as Jack Bell could not do anything about the strike right in to the top corner. As half time approached Pock got a corner kick from which they scored but there seemed to be a definate push on the goalkeeper but the goal stood. Half time 2:3. A very disappointing second half performance saw Pocklington score 3 more without reply. There was no lack of effort shown by the Fulford team but the second half performance fell well below the level of the first half. |
