Match report   Job done! Ford get back to winning ways with a 3-0 win against local rivals Heslington FC.

Ford always seemed to have control of the game today but it took 65 minutes to break the deadlock; two goals in as many minutes gave FFC a bit of breathing space and a third late on from Browsey sealed the win.

Before the goals it hadnt all been one way with Heslington forcing a few corners and Ford blazing a few opportunities over the bar; nothng wrong with the performance but the goals just wouldnt come until Graham pulled a ball back from the by-line for Ash to break the dead lock. And within the blink of an eye it was two; Heslington lost the ball in midfield straight from the KO and Harro latched onto the ball to round the keeper and tuck it in for 2.

From then on the game turned and the away team discipline disappeared as they were reduced to ten men following a straight red. The third goal came when Jarvo chased a ball to the by-lline and pulled it back to meet Browsey's perfectly timed run to the near post and side foot past the keeper. The keeper's efforts to boot the ball out of the Parish field in frustration about summed up the day for Heslington as it rebounded back off the tree....He made a better job of it after the ref blew for time by kicking the ball into School Lane. I hope he didnt kick the cat when he got home.

So a 3-0 win for FFC and a break from league action as its a return to cup action for the next two weeks.

Onward and upward
