Match report   On a red hot September afternoon Fulford FC 1st team travelled to Stamford Bridge for their first outing in Div2 following last season's promotion. With a few new faces and a couple of injuries already, the nervous management team took to the touchline wondering what the afternoon would bring. The answer, in short, was a great 6-3 win!!

However, the game was much closer than the scoreline suggests - with 20mins to go and a 3-3 scoreline, the game looked like it could go either way. Thats when Fulford seemed to find fresh legs as the home team tired and 3 quick goals put paid to the Bridge challenge.

The game has started evenly with Stamford enjoying more of the possession but 'Ford settled into the game and took the lead when the home keeper spilled a shot from the edge of the box and Jordan pounced on the loose ball to bag Ford's first goal of the season. The lead was soon doubled, or so everyone thought when a cross - shot ended up in the top corner of the net off a Bridge player; Ford team celebrated but this was short-lived as the ref waved play on much to the amazement of all. The game then ebbed and flowed with Ford unable to widen the gap as goals were traded taking the game to 3-3. Thats when Ford turned the screw and scored the goals that sealed a great win.
