Match report   A cracking game to kick off Sunday with. Even though it was only six aside both teams played their socks off. Dunnington were straight out of the blocks catching the Vikings off guard with their neat passing and scoring pas a hapless Cameron in goal. This woke the Vikings up and they soon got into their stride. Grace and Reuben held firm in defence and were fantastic in playing the ball forward. The Vikings were in full control with possession football and pressed the Dunnington defence to it's limits. Unfortunately the Dunnington goalie was in fine form making save after save from Adi, Tilly and Freddie. The Vikings just couldn't find the equalizer and it was 1-0 at half time.
The second half saw the introduction of Daniel, Barnaby and Oliver. This brought an extra injection of passing and pace into the game. But, against the run of play Dunnington found a rather fortunate 2nd goal - 2-0. All credit to the Vikings, whose heads never dropped, carried on with their pressing. Oliver took the ball from his own half and with a super dribbling move beat the Dunnington defence and then finally their goalie. 2-1. Still the Vikings pressed with their 75% possession determined for an equalizer and it came. Oliver with an assist to Barnaby who slotted home. 2-2. Victory was on cards now for the Vikings but unluckily time ran out. An exciting draw it finished.
Player of the match was Adi who never gave up running and drove the Dunnington defence mad. Unlucky not to score!
